Registration is open for MEF’s new and improved Junior Counselor program. Junior Counselors work directly with Kim Rackel on the Summer Enrichment Day camp program. The junior counselor position offers your middle school/high school age students the best of both worlds. They participate in all camp activities alongside the campers, but in a mentorship role.
This year, there are only 12 Junior counselor positions available. To be a junior counselor, MEF asks that you commit to one entire week (you can sign up for more as positions are available). Junior counselors are charged $50. This charge serves a dual purpose in that ensures our junior volunteers can do every activity our campers do, but also solidifies the junior volunteers commitment to this program.
Why become a junior counselor:
- Experience mentoring younger children
- Provides a structured, safe activity that gets students outside, active and off electronics
- And, we bet they learn a thing or two and have fun!
