Our Mission
The mission of the Mountain Education Foundation (MEF) is to provide ongoing financial support to achieve and maintain excellence in Signal Mountain K-12 public education.
Our Goal
Help us achieve our goal. Your support will ensure the success of our community’s schools and provide teachers and students with the tools they need for success in the classroom.
Working together with the community, local businesses, parent volunteers and active PTAs, MEF is building a strong foundation in our children's schools that fills the gaps in county funding. MEF provides support for arts and enrichment programs, classroom technology, science materials, school curricula and other classroom essentials at Thrasher Elementary School, Nolan Elementary School and Signal Mountain Middle/High School.
With the collaboration of public and private funds, the MEF enables our educators to go far beyond what a school can do by itself with public funding alone. Our community takes great pride in the quality of its schools and together we have forged a partnership like no other.
