Funding Priorities
The Mountain Education Foundation’s (MEF) funding priorities include arts and enrichment programs, classroom technology, science materials, music programs, school curricula and other essential needs identified in the schools we serve. All requests for funding must directly impact public schools serving the Signal Mountain community. Grants and funding allocations are approved annually by the foundation’s Advisory Board.
Our annual allocation process disperses funds in an equitable manner that takes into consideration the funding priorities of participating schools and the academic success of all students. Fund are allocated to meeting the ongoing commitments at each school first and the remaining funds are divided on a per capita basis.
The Schools we serve:
Nolan Elementary School
Signal Mountain Middle/High School
Thrasher Elementary School
